There is no exact data on the power of this engine yet but the 572-series ICE. It already makes a few 572 crate engines the most powerful of which produces 727 horsepower and 680 pound-feet of torque but this particular motor has been choked down to 430 horsepower to fit. Its not clear how much power the Big Block makes in the new COPO Camaro although Chevy sells a version of it in crate engine form which produces 727 horsepower.
Sending power to the rear wheels is an ATI Racing Products TH400 three-speed automatic transmission for all models. It started when GM reimagined its historic ZL1 engine code as a performance package for the fifth-generation Camaro street carone that came with a 580-hp 62L LSA supercharged V-8. Billed as the quickest Camaro ever offered by Chevrolet the COPO Camaros will be built using factory body-in-white body structures produced at the Oshawa Ontario plant that manufactures regular Camaros.
